What Causes Anxiety Attacks?
There are many different causes for anxiety attacks. It can range from simple, traumatic experiences that can cause panic attacks in the face of a crisis or phobias that can affect a huge chunk of someone’s life. It does not only affect the sufferer, but it can also affect families and the people around them. Anxiety attacks take on most of the time in people’s thoughts, making them worry more than usual. On most occasions, when this gets out of hand, people end up getting diagnosed with panic disorder.
Panic disorder can affect many people differently. It can cause phobia — one of the many problems this disorder brings. A phobia may be a fear of crowded spaces, public speaking, or a variety of other things. Phobias keep people from leading their lives normally, and as a direct result, affect how the sufferers act around other people. Many different phobias may come from anxiety attacks. It worsens through time, especially when sufferers continually avoid these situations, and it may make life much more unbearable to deal with. Continual avoidance can also cause other phobias, giving the sufferer multiple phobias and makes things a lot harder.
Getting frequent anxiety attacks also cause other related setbacks like insomnia, depression, and unnecessary dependency. These affect the body and mind greatly as anxiety happens frequently, and it keeps the sufferer from going about their normal routine. The sufferer may soon find himself in the hospital emergency room more often than usual, making things a whole lot complicated. It may also cause other psychological problems, much worse as it is connected with their anxiety.
Anxiety attacks may also cause severe abuse problems like drug and alcohol dependency. It can further debilitate physical problems, making it hard for the sufferer to feel better.
Given the multitude of problems that come along with anxiety disorder, it is critical to seek treatment immediately. Severe anxiety is not something that should be taken lightly; if left untreated, anxiety can pose a serious threat to the sufferer’s overall well being.
