From what I've already read in your article, I got confused of what's the different between anxiety and trauma ?
And you know, all people do really have their own anxiety against something, so a man shouldn't say that he/she must be brave and faced their weakness, because all people need some alarm to know that they are in discomfort situation.

I think that if you suffer from panic attacks you would try anything to ease or eliminate them, so this book is definitely worth trying. As Hari said, what works for one person, does not necessarily work for another, but there may be some useful hints to at least lessening the panic, and "any little helps".

Fear of driving can also come from lack of self-confidence or stress or anxiety in life in general, and sometimes this is what needs to be worked on rather than the actual driving. It can also be related to a car accident, where hopefully time and care can over come it. Surely a genuine "fear of driving" and nothing else is less common than other reasons for this fear to manifest itself?

I had problems after being given hormone injections, by a specialist, as a "cure" for a medical condition - the wrong cure it turned out. the injections caused an imbalance, but also made me unable to sleep more than 20 minutes a night, and as I am sure you all know, anxiety is worse in the dark.
I was very lucky to have a great doctor, who first realised the cure was incorrect, (I needed major surgery) and then suggested something which helped greatly. I still do it every day, even though the effects of the injections have worn off.
The doctor suggested sitting down every evening for 20 - 30 minutes with a cold drink and snacks. (Some days I have gin & tonic with nuts, others simply fruit juice, carrot and celery sticks.)
This time is "the end of my working day", and any problems which are not resolved by then, wait until the next day. My family respect this and do not ask me to resolve their dilemmas after this time.
It worked then, and it works now. I suffer from migraines and am now having less, which is great.

Fear does not become less frightening just because it may not happen. People who suffer from anxiety really believe that certain things can or will happen and that is why they panic. It is real for them, and we would do well to remember what fear feels like, as often these suffers are braver than we ourselves are. They have to confront their worst nightmares every day – for most of us it happens a few times in our lives, if at all.

I get anxious all the time, usually when I'm doing something new or meeting new people. I find it is sometimes frustrating, but as I get familiar with the task or the people the anxiety goes away fairly quickly. I can't imagine how it would be to have to live with anxiety every day. If that is the case, you should seek help right away.

Many people are too embarrassed to admit to their fears and do not want others to know “how silly they are”, so they keep it to themselves. This makes any cure that much harder. First you have the original worry, add to that the concern about being found out, and then the anxiety about having anxiety in the first place. Getting medical help is the best answer, we do it for other illness, and this should be no different.
